Our Build Process
At Fitzpatrick Built, we believe a well-structured, transparent process is key to a stress-free, enjoyable building journey. Here’s what you can expect when building with us:
Step 1 - Getting to Know You
We’ll meet with you — either at our office or directly on-site — to discuss your block’s potential, your vision, lifestyle needs, and budget.
This stage is all about understanding your goals and ensuring we’re the right builder to bring your dream home or investment property to life.
Step 2 - Design Process & Preliminary Agreement
We enter into a Preliminary Agreement so we can begin planning your home in detail.
From here, we’ll collaborate with the architect/drafts person and manage all necessary consultants, ensuring the design process stays aligned with your vision and budget.
Already have plans? No problem — we’re more than happy to work with your existing designs.
Step 3 - Selections & Council Submission
Once the design is finalised, we’ll prepare all documentation required for council or certifier submission.
We will also meet with you at our office to refine your selections — ensuring your home reflects your personal style, inside and out.
Step 4 - Final Quote & Building Contracts
After receiving construction approval, we’ll finalise your build quote and prepare your HIA building contract.
Once signed and your 10% deposit is received, we’re ready to schedule your build.
Step 5 - The Construction Journey
Your home build begins! Our team will keep you informed throughout the entire construction process with regular updates and scheduled site meetings.
We believe in clear communication and full transparency, so you’ll always know what’s happening at every stage of your build.
Step 6 - Handover & Ongoing Care
The big day has arrived — we hand over the keys to your brand-new home!
We’ll walk you through every detail and answer any questions you have.
After three months of settling in, we’ll return to address any minor defects — ensuring your home is everything you dreamed of.
